The wait is finally over. Coldplay’s fifth full-length studio album Mylo Xyloto just dropped in stores, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry sources estimate the album will sell at least 440,000-450,000 copies by the end of the week. Mylo Xyloto is Coldplay’s third No. 1 album following 2005′s X&Y and 2008′s Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends.
The band recently revealed three UK tour dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow, and also an additional six dates across Europe. Lead singer Chris Martin has said that the group is still deciding on whether to continue touring over in the U.S. or not.
“We’re probably going to take a holiday, get all fat and open a strip club. Either that or we’ll play lots of shows,” Martin told KRQQ Radio. “We don’t know, we’re still having that discussion. It depends whether our hips can stand the pressure.”
